A Au occurrence/mine located in the S½SW¼SW¼ sec. 35, T19N, R20W, G&SRM, about 3.25 miles south of Oatman, on Bureau of Land Management administered land. Located on the Lazy Boy vein, about ¼ mile South of, and parallel to, the Iowa vein. Started about 1916. Owned by F. L. Hunt and J. H. Moore (1909). Operated by S. W. Wood (1909). The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 500 meters.
LAZY BOY GROUP.
The Lazy Boy group, comprising four claims owned by F. L. Hunt and J. H. Moore, is on the opposite sjde of the ridge and about one-fourth of a mile southeast from the Iowa mine, at an elevation of 2,600 feet. It is reached by trail from the Iowa mine or from a tributary of Krauss Wash on the southwest. The property is now bonded to S. W. Wood. It is developed principally by a 43-foot shaft and an open cut.
The country rock is the dense, reddish-brown andesite characteristic of the district. The vein strikes N. 85° W. and dips about 80° S., nearly parallel with the Iowa vein. The cut exposes a width of about 6 feet of vein material, composed mostly of brecciated andesite and quartz, said to contain fair values in gold; in the shaft the vein contains several feet of excellent-looking greenish and iron-stained quartz ore, which is in part brecciated, contains a little calcite, and probably adularia, and is said to average about $9 in gold to the ton.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in the Pliocene Oatman Andesite. The ore body strikes N85W and dips 80S at a width of 1.83 meters. Local rocks include Middle Miocene to Oligocene volcanic rocks.
Regional geologic structures include NNW- to WNW-trending vein and fault system in Tertiary volcanic rocks.
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 60.96 meter (200 foot) deep shaft with some drifts.
Analytical test results: Ore assayed at 0.5 ounce Au/ton (1909).
