The northern half of Kericho area (Binge 1962) is dominated by Tinderet volcano, Nandi County, Kenya, while the southern part and most of the Sotik district (Shoeman 1949) to the south are covered by plateau phonolites with lesser areas of tuff and nephelinite.
Approx coords range: 0ΒΊ00' - 1ΒΊ00'S; 35ΒΊ00' - 35ΒΊ30'E.
