Structure: Fault N50 Deg W, 75 Deg Ne

Alteration: Silicification Along Breccia Zone

Deposit: Breccia zone along fault. Carnotite occurs in the breccia As small flakes and inthe slope wash nearby. Claims probably located along woodruff creek, the claims were prospected N 1956 but no production resulted. Deerhead group consists of 18 claims, work consistedof a few bulldozer trenches (granside,p.45) ; info.src : 1 pub lit

Deposit type: Volcanogenic U

Development: Claims were prospected in 1956, but no production resulted group of 18 claims

Geology: A thin bedded black shale, conformably overlain by tuff, strokes n40 deg w, dips23 deg ne. The strata are cut b a fault. The shale & tuff are brecciated and silicified. Carnotite occurs As small flakes in the breccia, and in the slope wash nearby.
