Deposit: A 20-ft. Stratum in a 100-ft thick deposit of lt. Gray friable pumicite it is slightly compacted, uncemented 50 to 325 mesh particles of rhyolite glass volcanic ash (pumicite) was mined from 3 open cuts at the cobrecite mine in the 1940's (?) foundations of a sizing and bagging plant remain near the mine. The deposit is a stratum about 20 ft thick in a 100 ft thick deposit of very light gray, friable pumicite. It is slightly compacted, but uncemented 50-325 mesh particles of rhyolite glass. ; info.src : 1 pub lit
