A copper mine, locally very rich in cobalt, worked from an open cut during the 1930s and 1940s without fully exploiting the deposit. The mine is known for having yielded the first reasonable specimens of cobaltoan calcite. Located 5 km E of Swambo. Note: Many misspelled labels exist with only one "n" in the name. See Lhoest (1989) for specifics and map concerning this location.
