A former occurrence/mine located 1.8 km (1.1 miles) ESE of Pilot Knob (city), just W of the surface outcrop, on federal Wildlife Refuge land (Pilot Knob National Wildlife refuge). Mined from 1968 to 1980.

Workings include underground openings.

Produced 20 million tons of ore averaging 35–40% Fe.
