Nice violet anhydrite was found in the dumps from the tunnel constructed between Stryn, Sogn og Fjordane and Grotli, Oppland.

Garmo (1974) reports minerals found during construction of a tunnel along RV 15 at Geirangerfjellet. However RV 15 goes not over Geirangerfjellet, but Strynefjell. The road Rv 32 that goes over Geirangerfjellet has (status 2019) also no tunnels. The minerals reported by Garmo (1974) is reported below.
