In the early 1930s, there were at least 5 different pegmatites worked as feldspar quarries all belonging to the land of the Frøyså Farm. They are situated south of the farm and on the southern and western slope of the hill Frøysååsen. These are respectively described, following Bjørlykke (1934), as Frøyså 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Comment by Ronald Werner, March 2018:
After Bjørlykke's time, many more quarries have been operative. At least 22 different quarries and prospects have been identified by 2018. This and the fact that the maps of Bjørlykke (1934) and Stensrud (2009) don't correspond to the actual location of quarries makes it very hard, if not impossible to positively identify the original Bjørlykke localities.

Anyone interested in this quest can order a PDF file from the Evje og Hornnes geomuseum Fennefoss. In this document, I have brought together the registrations of Andreas Corneliussen and Bjørlykke/Stensrud.

The coordinates given are for the farmhouse.
