Brøgger & Reusch (1875) describe this locality as Havredal. Later, in the Norwegian edition of the article (Brøgger & Reusch 1880), it is called Midtre Havredal.
This was a small prospect for wagnerite as a phosphate ore, related to Ødegården Verk. A 60 cm wide wagnerite-bearing pegmatite was mined. The locality, which is situated close to the Midtre Hafredal Farm, is now mostly destroyed after the construction of a new part of a road (Hafredalsveien), and just remnants of it is left to be seen today (2010).
Note on the mineral list: Brøgger (1888) described "pseudobrookite" from this locality. Smith (1969) has showed that the "pseudobrookite" from Havredal in fact consists of an extremely fine-grained mixture of hematite and rutile with a lesser amount of quartz and chlorite.
