A former underground Mn-Ag mine located in sec. 24, T1S, R12E, in the Magma Chief group of claims, about 2 miles North of Superior. Discovered 1949. The Magma King Manganese Mining Co. of Arizona had unspecified involvement here (1973).

Produced manganiferous silver, but no Mn ore.

Mineralization is 2 or 3 feet of manganese ore in the bedding planes of massive limestone. The limestone strikes N.70ºE. & dips 50ºS. On the tunnel level the sheared vein matter is about 20 feet wide and is 5 feet wide at the surface. The vein matter consists of iron and manganese oxides, jasper and silicified limestone. Bodies of manganese ore crops out also in the bedding planes of limestone on either side of an eastward-trending fault at an altitude of 3,800 feet.

On the tunnel level the sheared vein matter is about 20 feet wide, and it consists of iron and manganese oxides, jasper, and silicifeid limestone.

Workings include an inclined shaft 35 feet deep on the Baltimore claim, plus a tunnel 175 feet below the outcrop.
