This extensive site has a roughly east-west strike and is dominated by the chimney (restored in 2006/7) an information display by the chimney provides a detailed plan and description. Because of the ready accessibility of the site much has been fenced off nevertheless tips and dumps are available to examine. The fencing unfortunately works against the site as the sheep which otherwise do a fine job of keeping the features clear at other sites (at the expense of the occasional sheep) cannot get in and many of the features have vanished into the undergrowth.
