The exploration of uranium in Portugal began in 1907. Dating back to 1912 Rosmaneira was the first concession (mining concession no. 488 registered on 03-09-1909) in the Sabugal municipality.





Descrição: filão de quartzo branco com algum jaspe, rumo N 45º E, pendor 65º a 85º SE e possança de 2,0 a 10.0 m numa extensão de 700 m; A mineralização uranífera deste filão é mais intensa quando contacta com as rochas básicas que o rejeitam;
Mineralizações principais: autunite (mica calcária e urânica), fosforanilite, gumite, pecheblenda, torbernite (mica cuprífera e urânica, calcolite);
Morfologias: filão; rochas encaixantes: granitos;
Geologia local: faixa de Guarda-Belmonte-Sabugal onde predominam filões de quartzo e jaspe brechificados com rumo N 30º a 40º E e também E-W no lado nascente e stockworks, mineralizados com pecheblenda, sulfuretos e minerais secundários de urânio, que intruem granitos monzoníticos porfiróides;
Geologia regional: granitos monzoníticos porfiróides tardi a pós-F3;
Concessão 488, Siorminp ID 1316.
