A Cu-Mo deposit located in secs. 28 & 33, T4S, R9E, about 2½ miles WNW of Florence on/near the Gila River, on private land. Discovered in 1969. Previously owned by Conoco. Aztec Exploration and development was the operator in 1970. Was owned by the E. I. Dupont De Nemours and Co. (1982). NOTE: MRDS states deposit lies in the "Blackwater District."

Mineralization is a massive porphyry copper deposit hosted in Ruin (Oracle) Granite. The ore body is 107 meters depth-to-top and 503 meters thick. Andesite intrudes the granite. The quartz monzonite was emplaced into Precambrian host rocks. Ore control was fracturing and brecciation. Alteration was hydrothermal resulting in sericitization and kaolinization.

A pilot plant was under construction in 1974.

Assay data: The ore is 0.5% Cu, 90% recovery projected.

A test facility is being built currently (2018) for in-situ copper recovery.
