A former underground Ag-Au-Cu-Pb-Zn mine located about 1 mile SE of Turkey Creek Station. Discovered 1877. Operated in 1925 & 1928-1930. Overall produced during the period 1910-1970.

NOTE: The Cutter Mine is listed as a separate operation. Both are very nearby each other and the use of the Cutter name for this operation may reflect that they were a common operation at some time or were lumped together due to proximity.

Mineralization is the Silver Cord vein that dips S or SE at an angle of less than 20ΒΊ and has a tabular ore body. Ore control was faulting and shearing. Ore concentration was oxidation and enrichment of ore at near-surface. No alteration noted. Associated rock units are andesite dikes.

Area structures include foliation in Precambrian rocks that trends N-S and dips vertically. Veins do not parallel the foliation.

Produced 20 to 30 carloads of ore.
