The Gold Bug vein is the western of 2 veins in the Sterling Mine and outcrops.
Mineralization is a very large outcrop of brown-streaked quartz that occurs in greenstone and metamorphic slates.
Workings include a 410 foot deep shaft that is inclined 45º, plus about 1,000 feet of drifts on the 300 level.
