lead-silver-arsenic sulfides
Deposit: Rock on dump and around shaft collar a dark limestone with maroon clots. Fracture zone at shaft, n55w, vertical, white calcite vein 1/4 in. Thick on surface. Fracture can be traced along outcrop east of the shaft; stopes have caved along -zone. Upper (eastern) area of workings (on sidehill pass quad,- sample site 269) explores replacement lenses in limestone along n55w structure. Lowest workings expose kadlinized dike at p-ortal; contact with limestone trends n20w, dips 60-65 sw; old -dumps along hillslope to west are on n55-60w fractures in lime-stone. District unorganized, several prospects in area ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Development: Property was being drilled (exploration).by anaconda co.in 1981. Evidence of several deep holes, and rig on property at time of visit.
Geology: Ore bodies occur near the contact between the limestone and the quartz diorite porphyry, As both small replacement deposits and As veins. A 7 inch stringer of heavy pb-ag-as sulfides was exposed for 12 feet in the vein.
