Sec 24 T31N R27E tactite
Deposit: This record and deleted m060217 have different locations, but the site name and other information is very similar. M060217 stated that "utm location is estimated, uncertain". M060217 gives only johnson As a reference. Johnson, stager and tingley, and unpublished NBMG fil should be checked to verify location. ; info.src : 1 pub lit; 2 unpub rept monzonite engulfs several pendants of metamorphic rocks (slate, schist, tactite) which strike n70w, dip 60-75 ne. Exposures are poor due to surface cover. 3 small pendants are known. The northern one is about 13 ft wide and consists of biotite schist and a bed of tactite 4.5 ft wide containing some scheelite. A second pendant about 450 ft to the south is 18 ft wide and consists of tactite interbedded with schist. It is exposed for a strike length of 50 ft but is cut by granite at 2 places. A third pendant is 13 ft wide and is approximately on strike with the second pendant but is separated from it by 200 ft of granite. The ore exposed in these pendants contains 0.5 to 0.75 % wo3. This record has been merged with records d001221 and m060217, which have been deleted.

Deposit type: W skarn

Development: A single 20-ton shipment of ore was made to the toulon mill in 1942.
