A former U-V occurrence/mine located in sec. 30, T44N, R18W, NMM, 1 mile NW of Slick Rock, on Bureau of Land Management and/or private land (located claim). Owned by the Union Carbide Corporation (100%), Grand Junction, Colorado (1975). Operated by D.C. Bunker, Nucla, Colorado (1975). Owned and operated by the D. C. Bunker Mining Company (year = ?). First produced in 1955. USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

An U-V deposit with an ore body(ies) covering an area of 2.8HA, with a depth-to-top of 145 meters (minimum depth-to-top of 137 meters). Ore body No. 1 is sedimentary and irregular; ore body No. 2 is tabular; and, ore body No. 3 is lenticular. The primary mode of origin was residual concentration and the secondary mode was oxidation. Primary ore control was lithology and the secondary control was bedding. Wallrock alteration is moderate (bleaching). Local rocks include rocks of the Morrison Formation, the Summerville Formation, and the Entrada Sandstone.
