Deposit: The gravles occupy a channel 25-40 ft. Wide and 8 ft. Deep. The gold is concentrated in the lowermost 1 1/2 to 4 ft. Above bedrock placers were concentrated in that part of the creek bed that trends south for 1/2 mile. The gravels in this area occupy a channel 25-40 feet wide and 8 feet deep. Geology: The gold is probably derived from mineralized shear zones in chert & shale of the vinini formation.
