1/4 mile south of Green prospect. Antimony oxides.
Structure: N50W, Dip 70Nw (Tingley)

Commodity: No stockpile seen on 1985 visit

Deposit: Vein is composed of gouge, calcite and some quartz, with antimony oxides; model name could also be: simple Sb. Tingley (NBMG) visited this site in 1985 and identified it based on lawrence's fig 6. Tingley's location approximately matches the augusta mine mineral survey description. The location given by lawrence is apparently incorrect. Tingley, freeport macmoran, and others unsuccessfully searched section 9 (tingley, freeport personal communications, 1990). Site location for this record taken from 7.5' topo., based on tingley's confirmation of location. ; info.src : 1 pub lit discovery year: 1860's

Deposit type: Epithermal vein, Comstock

Development: Southern pacific reports do not mention this site. Lawrence (1963) reports stockpile at site.

Alluvium, undifferentiated

Age: Pleistocene (0 - 2.588 Ma)

Description: Unit is present in all counties. Some counties divided the alluvium into younger and older units, and some did not. For those that did not, or used other generalized terms for Quaternary rocks, the unit Qal has been used for the general undivided alluvium. Additionally, when polygons have been edited and changed to alluvium, Qal was used as the general value; hence it now is present in all counties. Qya-Younger alluvium: Map unit is used in Churchill, Elko, Esmeralda, Eureka, Humboldt, Lander, and Lincoln Counties where geologic information suggests better-defined younger versus older alluvium. It is mostly interchangeable with Qal, except that it implies some specifically younger Quaternary deposits.
