Actively mined porphyry copper-(gold) deposit, spatially and temporarily associated with Tertiary (Oligocene-Miocene) subvolcanic intrusions of latitic and latitic-andesitic composition.
Copper mineralization at Buchim is not as deeply eroded as that in the Damjan ore field.

Includes the Čukar ore body, a supergene mineralization developed in gneiss, which has been mined out. An open pit remains as result of this former mining activity.

Note on coordinates: mrdata.usgs.gov gives 22.348638, 41.666657.
