Quartz-bearing pockets in a hydrothermal quartz-K-feldspar-cemented breccia. The breccia is hosted by Late Paleoproterozoic mylonitic metarhylote of the Formofoss nappe complex (Müller et al. 2018).

The land is owned by Lierne Skogforvaltning. Collecting is allowed for a fee of Nkr 100 per day limited by one backpack per day (status 2003). Find of new cavities has to be reported and a new fee is agreed on.
