An underground copper mine consisting of two shafts located one mile NE of Arcadian mine. After the failure of the Arcadian Copper Co. in 1903, a small group of investors from Arcadian organized the New Arcadian Copper Co. in 1909. The mine worked the northern most extension of the Isle Royale Lode. The mineralization proved to be too erratic and the mine closed in 1917. In three years the mine produced approx. 164,000 lbs. of refined copper. Minerals found here include copper wires, datolite, and prehnite.
