Chert-hosted metasedimentary Paleozoic manganese ore, contact metamorphosed by granitic intrusion. Mining started in 1956; now closed. Main ore minerals were manganpyrosmalite, rhodonite, manganogrunerite, spessartine and manganoan fayalite.
(Note: "Pyrosmalite" recorded from here is Fe-rich manganpyrosmalite. Contributors: Please do not add "pyrosmalite" to this species list.)
