A former U-V occurrence/mine located in the approximate SΒ½ sec. 2, T4lN, R23E, G&SRM, 2.8 km (1.8 miles) NE of Yazzi Mesa (coordinates of record) and 2.1 miles due W of Comb Ridge. T&R values are not presented.

Mineralization is in an oxidized zone of uranium deposits in Late Triassic sandstone. Minerals include montroseite, carnotite and uraninite in lenticular ore pods at the base of the scour of paleostream channel, usually with carbonaceous debris. The ore zone averages 2 feet thick. Calcium carbonate is present in ore as a cementing material, ranging from 1.4 to 10.3%. The host rock is the Shinarump member of the Chinle formation.

Workings include underground openings comprised of room and pillar method operations plus 10,000 feet of drilling.

Production was 374 tons of ore @ 0.20% U3O8; 0.35% V2O5 (1955-1956).

Analytical data results: V2O5 : U3O8 ratio is 3.8 : 1.

Reserve resource information: Reportedly ore-grade mineralization remains.
