A former U-V occurrence/mine located in sec. 11, T34N, R23E, G&SRM, 15.5 km (9.6 miles) NNE of Taasahdi Dzil (summit) (coordinates of record) and 6.5 km (4.1 miles) SE of Rough Rock (outside of the district), along the rim of Black Mesa at Yale Point. Adjacent claims include Hillside No. 1, Rough Rock group and Dan Taylor No. 4.

Mineralization is tyuyamunite and metahewettite with clay in pods hosted in Late Cretaceous sandstone. Carnotite-tyuyamunite occur disseminated and as small pods in quartzose, fine-grained, cross-bedded sandstone with a carbonaceous seam in the Toreva Formation. The seam is a 2 feet thick and 30-35 feet long zone along the rim.

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a rim cut and small adit.

Production was 290 tons of ore @ 0.14% U3O8; 0.31% V2O5; 0.01-0.03% e U3O8 (1955).

Analysis data results: Grab samples @ 0.01-0.38 U3O8; 0.08-0.34% V2O5, as coatings on sand grains.
