A salt deposit located in sec. 7, T18N, R24E. G&SRM, 1.1 km (0.68 mi) WSW of Adamana, just WNW of Petrified Forest National Park. The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 2,000 meters. Geographic coordinates are for the center of sec. 7 per the USGS MRDS database file.
Mineralization is a surface halite deposit. Local rocks include Pliocene to middle Miocene deposits.
Nearby are solution caverns in salt used for petroleum storage.
