A former U-V occurrence/mine located in approximate sec. 8, T40N, R29E, G&SRM , 5.5 km (3.4 miles) N of Black Rock Point (coordinates of record), on the NE limb of the Toh Atin anticline. T&R values are not presented for this location.

Mineralization is tyuyamunite in irregular tabular layers hosted in Late Jurassic claystone, siltstone and sandstone of the Salt Wash Member of the Morrison Formation. Ore is found in clusters, usually associated with carbonaceous detritus. Local rocks include Early Pleistocene to latest Pliocene surficial deposits.

Workings include surface openings comprised of a rim cut.

Production was a total of 3,507 tons of ore @ 1.86% V2O5. Mined for vanadium content in 1943-1944 from VCA West 1 & 6-13 reservation plots. Also, minor production from here included with VCA West Reservation plot 6.
