A former lode Au mine located in the N½ (estimated) sec. 3, T19N, R6E, MDM, 2.8 km (9,200 feet) NNW of Forbestown and 1 mile NW of Old Forbestown, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
The body strikes NE and dips 70NW.Mineralization is hosted in slate and serpentinite. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 21.34 meters, comprised of a 160 foot tunnel and 500 feet of drifts.
