A former lode Au-Ag mine located in sec. 21, T9N, R20E, MDM, 1.3 km (4,200 feet) NW of Silver Mountain, along an unnamed tributary of IXL Canyon, on National Forest wilderness land (Carson-Iceberg Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in andesite. The deposit is a non-striking vein in andesite. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Prospected many years ago.
