A former Au-Cu-Ag mine located in the SW¼ (S½ estimated ?) sec. 31, T10N, R21E, and in the N½ sec. 6, T9N, R21E (tunnels extend into), MDM, 1.2 km (3,900 feet) SSW of Colorado Hill (coordinates of record) and 1.8 km (6,100 feet) WSW of Loope, along Monitor Creek. Produced in the 1870's. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in andesite. The ore body is 91.44 meters thick. Located in the same zone as the Lincoln Mine. 200 to 300 feet thick silicification and alteration zone with mineralization vein of silicified breccia, 5 or more feet thick. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
workings include underground openings comprised of a SSE-trending crosscut adit driven about 1,000 feet to the vein, plus 200 to 300 feet of drifting had been done. Workings caved in 1969.
