A former lode Au mine located in the SW¼ (estimated) sec. 19, T6N, R13E, MDM, 1.7 km (1.1 miles) ESE of Wilseyville, S of Blue Mountain Road and N of the Licking Fork Mokelumne River (near the Glencoe schoolhouse). Operated in the 1930's. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in schist and slate. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 61.57 meters and an overall depth of 6.71 meters, and comprised of a shaft and 180 feet of drifting.
Some high-grade pocklets said to have been mined in the 1930's.
