An Fe occurrence/deposit located in the NE¼SW¼ sec. 11, T4N, R10E, MDM, 1.9 km (1.2 miles) SSE of Campo Seco, NNW of Valley Springs Peak (1½ miles N of Valley Springs). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a Fe deposit comprised of a limonite hill capping. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 tunnels. Only assessment work done.
Assays at 55 to 60% metallic Fe. A small and unimportant body of iron ore. Estimated to contain a few thousand tons of ore.
