A former Au mine/occurrence located in sec. 20, T3N, R13E, MDM, 1.1 km (0.7 mile) N of Altaville, N of Cherokee Flat, along Cherokee Creek. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

NOTE: Murdoch & Webb (1966) place this mine near Carson Hill & Robinson's Ferry and then add "Angels Camp area." Both USGS MRDS database files cited herein are in agreement regarding its location.

Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
