A former lode Au mine located in the SE¼ (estimated) sec. 12, T5N, R11E, MDM, 0.3 km (0.2 mile) ESE of Stockton Hill (summit) and 0.4 km (0.3 mile) S of Mokelumne Hill (on Stockton Ridge). Operated in 1902. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in rocks of the Amador Group (schist). Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).

Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 32 meters comprised of a 105 foot shaft.
