A former lode Au mine located in the SW¼SE¼ (estimated) sec. 10, and in the NW¼E¼ (estimated) sec. 15, T5N, R11E, MDM, about 3.35 km (2½ miles) W of Mokelumne Hill (town), S of Middle Bar on the Mokelumne River (near the Middle Bar bridge). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in rocks of the Amador Group (greenstone, slate). Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a crosscut adit and an open cut.
