A former lode Au mine located in sec. 1, T3N, R13E, and in sec. 36, T4N, R13E, MDM, about 1.75 km NE of Soapstone Hill, on the S ridge of San Domingo Creek (2 miles W of Murphys). Operated intermittently during the period 1925 to 1939. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate and mica schist. Abundant sulfides are present. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a short crosscut adit to the vein.
