A former Cr mine located in the NW¼ sec. 32, T2N, R13E, MDM, 0.2 km (0.1 mile) W of Funk Hill (coordinates of record) and 2.1 km (1.3 miles) NNE of Mountain Top (coordinates of record). Operated during the period 1916-1917. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

NOTE: California bulletin 76 shows the mine in the SE¼ sec. 6, but there is no serpentine there.

Mineralization is a Cr deposit hosted in serpentine. Lenticular bodies of chromite strike E-W with a footwall of serpentine and a hanging wall of schist and metamorphic sandstone. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of an open cut and a 20 foot deep shaft.

Total production was 71 long tons of ore.
