A former lode Au mine located in sec. 7, T4N, R14E, MDM, 1.4 km (0.9 mile) NNW of Sheep Ranch, along O'Neil Creek. Operated by D. T. Jones (1935). Prospected in 1936. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 5,000 meters.
NOTE: USGS MRDS database file #10235827 presents geographic coordinates and T&R values placing this locality in sec. 16, with a 5,000 meter accuracy. The description in file #10102821 places it in sec. 7 and otherwise provides data consistent with that location (i.e., may be an extension of the Sheep Ranch vein - the Sheep Ranch Mine is due S of the sec. 7 location.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. The vein may be an extension of the Sheep Ranch vein. Local rocks include Mesozoic gabbroic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
Workings include surface and underground (?) opening comprised of an open cut.
