A placer Au occurrence/drift mine located in secs. 16 & 17, T3N, R14E, MDM, 0.7 km (0.4 mile) E of Douglas Flat, on the lower W slope of Table Mountain. Operated prior to 1900. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 5,000 meters (sic).
NOTE: USGS MRD file #10109183 presents file #10138573 as a related MRDS file; however, that latter file is not related to this locality.
Mineralization is a placer Au deposit located on the Central Hill paleochannel. Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 90 foot deep shaft.
