A former lode Au mine located in sec. 6, T2N, R11E, MDM, 5.6 km (3.5 miles) S of Siberia summit (coordinates of record) and 4.7 km (2.9 miles) ENE of Milton. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in greenstone and slate. Ore body described as great fissures in which ores are deposit and wall rocks are altered diabase (Crawford, 1896). Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
