NOTE: Both referenced MRDS files present the same T&R values for this location. The coordinates provided correspond to that T&R value. MRDS file #10138902 states that the land is part of the Pine Flat Reservoir (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers), and that it is under water. No part of sec. 29 is under water. MRDS file #10076548 appears to have the more accurate description.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in schist. The ore body is 1.22 meters wide. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a drift 120 feet long with a 40 foot winze at tits end. On the footwall, another vein was opened by a shallow shaft and drift.
production information: Ore averaged 10% Cu and $8.00 per ton Au (period values). Operation was intermittent.
