A former lode Au mine located in the SW¼NW¼ sec. 28, T11N, R9E, MDM, 3.9 km (2.4 miles) NNE of Mormon Hill (coordinates of record) and 5.2 km (3.2 miles) W of Four Corners (5 miles WSW of Coloma on S side of the South Fork American River), on private land. The claim contains 10 acres. Operated by V. C. Sheehan, et al. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Workings may be the same mine shown in this location on USGS topo map .
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
