A former placer Au occurrence/drift mine located in secs. 20 & 21, T10N, R11E, MDM, about 3.35 km (2 miles) S of Placerville and about 3.35 km (2 miles) ENE of Diamond Springs. Holding of this property were 400 acres. Operated in the early 1900's and in 1925 and 1935. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. This mine was one of the 3 most important producers, of the drift mines, in 1905.
Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
