A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the E½SE¼ sec. 18, T9N, R10E, MDM, 1.2 km (0.7 mile) SSW of Frenchtown (2½ miles SSE of Shingle Springs; 1½ miles N of Mount Aigare), on an unpatented claim & millsite. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Logan (1934) lists this locality as a second "Crystal" claim.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.
