A former Au-Ag-Pb-Cu mine located in sec. 28, T14S, R38E, MDM, about 9.6 km NE of New York Butte, at the mouth of Hunter Canyon, about Β½ mile W of Salt Lake (W of the Barranca Mine), on Bureau of Land Management wilderness land (Inyo Mountains Wilderness). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. This mine was possibly incorporated into later development under different names. The location was estimated based on the description in the reference.

Mineralization is a vein deposit said to be the largest and most regular in the district (same vein as in the Barranca Mine). The ore body dips 70 degrees. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 1 (Mojave Desert and Death Valley area).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 110 foot deep shaft.
