A Au occurrence/prospect located in secs. 31 & 32, T21N, R5E, SBM, 10.4 km (6.5 miles) E of Jubilee Mountain (coordinates of record) (3.1 miles W of Ibex Peak; in Confidence Wash, 6 miles E of the Confidence mill on the W slope, Black Mountains), on National Park Service wilderness land (Death Valley National Park/Death Valley Wilderness). Property consisted of 9 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Land unsurveyed - location projected.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with veins averaging 2 to 4 feet (0.61 to 1.2 meters), hosted in gneiss. The ore body strikes N30W and dips 40NE at a thickness of 1.22 meters. Controls for ore emplacement included "stratification" of certain layers of the schist. Veins carry free gold.
Local rocks include Plio-Pleistocene and Pliocene loosely consolidated deposits.
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of open cuts and short tunnels plus a shaft.
