A former Au mine located in sec. 34, T9S, R33E, MDM, 5.1 km (3.2 miles) SSE of Piper Peak (coordinates of record), 6.3 km (3.9 miles) ENE of Kid Mountain, and 8.4 km (5.2 miles) SW of Pig Pine, along Little Pine Creek, on National Forest wilderness land (John Muir Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Location estimated by USGS MRDS staff from description in reference. This mine possibly was incorporated into later development under different names.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a vein 3 feet (0.91 meters) thick. The ore body dips 65NW at a thickness of 0.91 meters. The ore shows some sulfides. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 106 foot long adit.
