A W mine located in sec. 13, T7S, R31E, MDM, 5.6 km (3.5 miles) WSW of West Bishop, along Birch Creek, in the Deep Creek area. Operated during the periods 1937-1939 & 1944-1945. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. Huntley Industrial Minerals, Inc. is primarily responsible for reworking the tailings for garnet content.

Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.

Production data are found in: Norman, L.A. & Richard M. Stewart (1951).

Concentrate produced an average 72% WO3. During the period 1944-1945, 200,000 tons of tailings were reworked, averaging 56% garnet and 0.4% WO3.
