A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 21, T29N, R34E, MDM, about 6.6 km NNW of Weldon Peak, on National Forest land. The property consists of 2 claims and 2 fraction claims. Owned by Piute Mines, Ltd. (J. W. Steele, Agent) Los Angeles, California (1949- ). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Adjoins the Gwynne Mine on the N.

Mineralization is hosted in granite. The ore body strikes N70E and dips 40SE at a thickness of 0.61 meter. The vein is 1 to 2 feet thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges) and/or pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.

Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 tunnels. The upper tunnel was driven 150 feet on the vein and stoped 100 feet toward the surface. The lower tunnel was driven 140 feet below the upper tunnel as a crosscut 300 feet S to the vein with drifts 600 feet NE and 100 feet SW. There is also a millsite.
